Apple WWDC 2016 – watchOS 3

Apple completely announced their software lineup with the heavy upgrade to each iOS, tvOS, MacOS & watchOS.

watchOS 3 finally speed up the app launching process. This is possible because of watchOS 3 keeps your favorite apps running in memory and background that are enabled. A new dock is created where user can put their favorite apps. One thing note that it may decrease your battery life due to the background process.

A new Control Center is present in Apple Watch, to access it just swipe up from the bottom of its screen. Replying to messages has gotten lot  easier, since smart replies are immediately accessible when you scroll down while viewing a message. A new way to respond is Scribble, which converts your on-screen finger writing into text.

Changing the watch faces is now done with a swipe. There’s a new Activity watch face which, as its name implies, focuses on your activity throughout the day. Adding more, activity rings can appear over the another watch face too. And you can launch workouts app straight from the watch face.

SOS on the Watch is enabled it works when you press and hold the side button. It calls 911, which works if the wearable is connected to a phone or to Wi-Fi. After calling 911, it notifies the people of your favorite you’ve set as emergency contacts, giving them your location. And finally, it shows your medical ID. These are some of the minor update to watchOS 3.
