The Windows 7 operating system allows users to create custom keyboard shortcuts to applications. Users may find this feature convenient because it allows them to access applications that are frequently used. Create Custom Hot Keys in Windows 7
Right-click the desktop shortcut of the application, then click Properties > Shortcuts.
Click in the shortcut key field, and press CTRL, SHIFT, or ALT:
