Google VR cardboard has been huge success, at Google I/O 50 million VR app were installed on the Cardboard Platform. While comparing it to the last year it was nearly 25 million, 2 times increase in consumption. Google Head of VR Clay Bavor said “We think that’s pretty good for what is, after all, just a piece of cardboard,”.
Google is also bringing up the Google VR platform into the mainstream market, this could increase the potential growth of the google vr cardboard. Recently google vr team has been created to specifically to take over the VR business seriously.
This is just for VR in cardboard, they are not including the Samsung Gear VR. VR has become jest popular these days we can definitely tell there s a good presence to this technology
