Intex has launched a new budget smartphone, called Aqua Lions 2, which interestingly comes after the launch of the Aqua Lions 3 back in July. Like the predecessor, the new Aqua Lions 2 also highlights 4G VoLTE support and Android 7.0 Nougat. The latest smartphone comes at an entry-level price tag of Rs. 4,599, available via offline channels in Champagne and Gold colours.
Going by the design, the Aqua Lions 2 follows a similar look compared to the Aqua Lions 3. The front features a 5-inch (480×854 pixels) FWVGA display and capacitive buttons below it. It is powered by a quad-core processor that is paired with 1GB of RAM. Internal storage stands at 8GB, which is expandable via microSD card (up to 64GB)
As for the cameras, the Aqua Lions 2 features a 5-megapixel sensor on the back with autofocus and flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The handset packs a 2400mAh battery, measures 143.8x72x8mm, and weighs 158.3 grams. The smartphone comes with some pre-loaded features like Tap n Buy for shopping, Xender for easy contacts and file sharing, and Amazon Prime Video.
As far as the Aqua Lions series is concerned, the Aqua Lions 2 is cheaper compared to the Aqua Lions 4G and Aqua Lions 3 launched earlier this year at Rs. 5,499 and Rs. 6,499, respectively.
“With Aqua Lions 2, we have added a valuable product to our portfolio that sports a sleek and stylish design. We are constantly working towards creating an industry benchmark in terms of affordable phones with high end features and this smartphone promises to deliver the best with looks, features and price,” Nidhi Markanday, Director and Business Head, Intex Technologies said.
