ISRO plans for World Record to Launch of 83 Satellites on a Single Rocket

Indian space organization ISRO is going for a world record by putting into space 83 satellites – two Indian and 81 remote – on a solitary rocket in mid 2017, a top authority of Antrix Corporation said.He said the organization’s request book remains at Rs. 500 crores while arrangements are on for dispatch arrange for another Rs. 500 crores.

“Amid the primary quarter of 2017 we plan to dispatch a solitary rocket conveying 83 satellites. Most remote satellites are nano satellites,” Rakesh Sasibhushan, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Antrix Corporation told IANS.

Antrix Corporation is the business arm of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). He said all the 83 satellites will be placed in a solitary circle and consequently there won’t be any exchanging now and again of the rocket.

The real test for the proposed mission is to hold the rocket in a similar circle till every one of the satellites are catapulted. He said ISRO will utilize its Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle XL (PSLV-XL) rocket variation for the record dispatch. For ISRO, dispatch of various satellites at one go is not another thing as it has done it a few times previously.

As per Sasibhushan, the aggregate payload/weight carted away into space by the PSLV-XL rocket will be around 1,600 kg.Refering to non-divulgence assentions, Sasibhushan declined to name the customers whose satellites ISRO will put into space.
