Motorola has now launched the Moto 360 Sport, a smartwatch targeted at athletes and sports supporters. As expected, Motorola today launched the Moto 360 Sport smartwatch in India. This launch comes more than four months after the company had launched the leather and metal variants of the Moto 360 smartwatch in India. The Moto 360 Sport is priced at Rs 19,999, and is going on sale today exclusively via Flipkart.
The Motorola Moto 360 Sport, as the name proposes, is a smartwatch aimed at sports enthusiasts and athletes. Unlike the leather and metal alternatives, the Moto 360 Sport features a rubber body and silicone straps. The silicone doesn’t engage sweat and resists fading or staining, and the watch also includes side freshening channels that help one stay cool. It also boasts IP67 certification, which makes it resistant to water and dust.
The smartwatch features a built-in GPS to track the distance you ran as well as the route, and also claims a heart-rate sensor, to monitor the physical effort. Other sensors include gyroscope, accelerometer, altimeter, which composed help you monitor your physical actions.

The smartwatch exhibits a 1.37-inch display with 360×325 pixels resolution and 263ppi density. The display is sheltered by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and also features what Motorola calls AnyLight Display. This ‘hybrid screen’ automatically adjusts to the light level indoors for reading purposes, while outdoors it reflects natural light, making the screen clear and sharp.
The Moto 360 Sport features a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor combined with Adreno 305 GPU and 512MB of RAM. It comes with 4GB internal storage, 300mAh battery that Motorola says is good sufficient to last a full day, wireless charging support and connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and Bluetooth 4.0 LE. On the software front, it runs on Android Wear, and is friendly with smartphones running on Android 4.3 or higher, and iOS 8.2 or greater.
